Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen May. Karen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. I am a native of Arizona who discovered as a teenager an enthusiastic interest in events. I have been in the special event industry one-way or other since I was a teenager. I by chance landed in this industry at age 16 by complete accident and have been here 40 years now.

THE SECRETS TO SUCCESSFUL EVENT PLANNING WITH KAREN MAY

CEO of Scottsdale Private Event Venues and Scottsdale Hangar Parties, sees her rise to success. What started as a series of unplanned events led her to be one of the premier event planners in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Karen’s journey in the event planning world started when she was only 16. A humble job at a golf course would soon lead her to experience something that would change the trajectory of her life. The wedding planner in charge of a wedding at the country club was in an accident and Karen stepped in and took charge.

The reception was produced by Scottsdale Hangar Parties Karen May was held in the Scottsdale Airport Veterans Memorial and the event in Gemini’s hangar located at the Scottsdale Airport, which originally opened June 22nd, 1942, as Thunderbird Field II, an Army Air Corps training facility.  Over 5,500 AAC pilots trained in the Stearman PT-17 aircraft. The Thunderbird Field II Veterans Memorial commemorates this rich history of the Scottsdale Airport and honors all veterans.

Industrial-style, chic spaces are quickly emerging as one of this year’s hottest trends in the events industry.  These urban, edgy venues make a bold statement and bring guests together in fresh and exciting ways.  Sought out for their individuality and ability to make an impact on attendees, unusual event venues are growing in popularity. The Jetset Hangar is such a place.  It has played host to many of the most exclusive events in Scottsdale for heavy hitters like Bentley and McLaren, and is the location of Jetset Magazine’s annual international Miss Jetset Red Carpet event.

It’s easy to say that when your company is already established as a risk-taker with a devoted following willing to go to the ends of the Earth with them without even knowing their final destination is.

COVID scrapped Haute Dokimazo’s signature and secret “family reunions” to parts unknown (the landing spot is announced mid-air) but has done little else to deter the company. It pairs corporate clients with destinations for unforgettable moments like shark dives.

Corporate events held in blank slate event venues can offer several advantages over ballrooms. Here are some reasons why:
1. Customization: Blank slate event venues provide a more flexible space that can be easily customized to fit the specific needs and branding of the corporate event. This allows for a more personalized experience for attendees.
2. Adaptability: Blank slate venues can be adapted to accommodate various event formats, such as conferences, workshops, product launches, or networking events. Ballrooms, on the other hand, may have a more rigid layout that is primarily suited for formal gatherings.
3. Modern amenities: Blank slate venues often come equipped with state-of-the-art technology and amenities, such as high-speed internet, advanced audio-visual equipment, and comfortable seating options. This can enhance the overall experience for attendees and make the event more engaging.
4. Unique atmosphere: Hosting a corporate event in a blank slate venue can create a more memorable and unique atmosphere compared to a traditional ballroom. This can help the event stand out and leave a lasting impression on attendees.
5. Cost-effectiveness: Blank slate venues may offer more competitive pricing compared to ballrooms, as they often have lower overhead costs. This can help companies save on their event budget without sacrificing quality.
Overall, blank slate event venues can provide a more versatile and customizable space for corporate events, making them a popular choice for many organizations.
